This is a unit plan I developed on the first grade civics standards 1-C.1.0.1 through 1-C.2.0.1. In this unit plan, students learn about the reasons for rules and school, the authority figures who enforce the rules, people without authority who try to enforce the rules, and how decisions are made and conflicts are resolved.

Foldable
I chose to make a fold-able for the first grade standard C-1.0.1 in which students identify the reasons for rules in school. The type of fold-able I chose is a 4-Tab fold-able. In my fold-able I created 4 categories describing places where we encounter rules, and for each place and I drew a picture of a rule for that place, wrote a short phrase describing what the rule is, and wrote a short phrase describing why we have that rule.
